New Couple-Stone Bwoy spotted in Norway with UK artist, Waliyah

We’re yet to confirm what’s going on, but our guess is that, both are either romantically involved or working on a new project, as Waliyah has mentioned in a few interview that she intends to work with Ghanaian musicians.
nebwoy has been representing Ghana on many world stages. The Dancehall artiste, who has built a reputable name for himself, was in Oslo over the weekend, to celebrate Ghana’s independence at a show. However, he wasn’t alone.
The singjay who has kept his love life a secret, was spotted with Nigerian-born-UK-Singer Waliyah. Waliyah, who has songs like, “Rumor has it”, and “Siwaju” enjoying a good amount of airplay, had been spotted in Ghana a few times earlier; either holidaying or doing radio interviews to promote her music.
Fans have become very curious, as Stonebwoy was spotted with Waliyah in Oslo-Norway, prior to the show. Waliyah, who lives in London, seemed to have flown to Oslo, on invitation from the Dancehall artiste, as both of them were seen together on Stonebwoy’s Snapchat and in a series of instagram photos.

Attempts to reach both parties seems to have proved abortive, however one Ghanaian living in Oslo, seems to have seen both musicians looking “Really close and comfortable around each other”.

We’re yet to confirm what’s going on, but our guess is that, both are either romantically involved or working on a new project, as Waliyah has mentioned in a few interview that she intends to work with Ghanaian musicians.

If Sarkodie is looking for trouble I'll give him trouble- Quata
Rapper Quata has rubbished claims that he is trying to ride on Sarkodie to get back into the music scene.
In recent weeks, Quata has released two ‘diss’ songs directly addressing Sarkodie, leading to fans descending on him with some accusing him of trying to use Sarkodie to revive his music career.
In an interview with Hit FM’s Dr Pounds on Hitz High Table, Quata denied that assertion and accused Sarkodie of starting the whole ‘beef’ with him.
“If I were the first person who ‘diss’ him (Sarkodie) that means am using him to get back into the scene. But if me I dey my one corner and the person ‘diss’ me first, do you expect me to go and give him a cake saying Sarkodie thank you for dissing me and go home?” he quizzed.

“I am a beast emcee (rapper); I am a battle emcee, so when you come to my door knocking looking for trouble we will have trouble but if you are looking for respect, I will give that respect,” the rapper added.
Quata, born Jacob Kwame Etroo also stated he has no personal qualms with Sarkodie and will say “hi” when they meet because they are friends; it is just a lyrical battle and nothing personal.
He also disclosed that he has worked with Mafikizolo which is yet to come out and confirmed having a song with Jamaican sensation Gully Bop titled ‘Gratefu’l.
Quata also revealed that he is bringing South African group Uhuru to Ghana soon.

Eden criticize Obours Administration
Ghanaian hip-hop artiste Edem has constructively criticized Obour’s administration, pointing out his achievements and shortfalls.
The rapper in an interview with Patrice Amegashie on TV Africa’s Maakye, stated that the MUSICA president needs to be commended for some works done in the music industry. Edem sighted MUSICA Grand Ball, an initiative to mobilize funds for the industry, the Aged Musician Union Fund and Ghana Music Week Festival as laudable steps taken by Obour’s administration to improve the industry.
According to the multiple Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) nominee, Obour has done what a Napoleon could not do and considering the sacrifices he has made as a president, he deserves some credit
However, he asserted that Obour should acknowledge that the industry needs more work and there are pertinent issues which need attention.
The “Koene” hit maker mentioned that, the average Ghanaian artiste has no access to social security and nothings to fall on when they are no more engaged in active music.
It was recently reported that the rapper was involved in a car accident but as it stands now, Edem is in good shape and has secured a nomination in the 2017 edition of VGMA.

This is the negative thing about having N’golo Kante as a team mate- Eden Hazard «
Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard has hailed the influence that N’Golo Kante has had on Antonio Conte’s title-chasing team this season.
The Blues are 10 points clear at the Premier League summit with 11 games to play and face Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United in the FA Cup quarter-finals on Monday.
After Monday’s Premier League win at West Ham, Hazard joked it felt at times like there were two Kantes and that the France midfielder had a twin.
The understated Kante said: “Thank you for the compliment. I’m single, but we work together for a win. Me and all the team, we have to defend together. I give my best for the team.”
Hazard, speaking to Chelsea TV, added: “We have to work, even if he’s one of the best players in his position. We have to defend, because the manager wants that.
“(But) it’s true sometimes we say ‘I don’t defend now, because N’Golo is there’.”
That allows Hazard and the more forward-thinking Chelsea players to thrive, and Hazard used a running analogy to describe the comparison between the players.
The Belgium playmaker added: “If we have to do a marathon – he will win for sure. He can run 10 hours. I can run 10 metres, then I’m tired.”
As for Chelsea’s trophy hopes this season, Hazard added: “We’re going to try to win everything.
“It’s not going to be easy, but we’re going to train and work hard to win these two things.
“We are at a club where every year you have to win something. We can win both the cup and the league. We will give everything.
“We have 11 games to play in the league. We hope we can win as soon as possible the league.
“And the cup is a bonus, but it’s a good bonus.”

Shatta Wale is my favorite artist in the World - Burnaboy
Nigeria superstar dancehall act Burnaboy has endorsed Shatta Wale as his favorite artiste in the world.
The tonite singer in an earlier tweet posted “Apart from the fact that Shatta Wale is one of my best friends. He is my favorite f*** artiste. So f** you if you don’t rate him”.
Over 281,065 views already on youtube the monster collaboration Hosanna has fostered the relationship between Ghana and Nigeria this time through Dancehall. With three yet to be released songs from the two dancehall bigwigs it is now evident that Shatta Wale is the only person Burnaboy follows on instagram.
Hosanna the now street anthem is making huge impact on radio shows in Nigeria, UK,, South Africa and in the Caribbean states.
Previously performing under the name Bandana, the hitmaker achieved street credibility for his music at a time where Ghanaian Dancehall music was still heavily undeveloped. The star soon made headlines with his hit single ‘ Moko Hoo‘ which featured fellow Ghanaian musician Tinny, scored the star a Ghana Music Awards nomination in that same year.
Bandana later disappeared from the music scene, only to resurrect almost a decade after with a new name and identity – Shatta Wale. His return to the industry was followed up with a solid repertoire of hit songs in the last four years which immediately became THE street anthems. Shatta Wale took back his rightful place in the music game with fan favourites such as ‘ Dancehall King ‘ and ‘ Enter The Net‘ , loved by both the young and old, almost everyone.
Shatta Wale wouldn’t stop getting nominated and winning awards. He was adjudged the 2014 African Artiste of the Year at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards (USA) and also won The World Best New Entertainer at the 2014 International Reggae and World Music Awards (IRAWMA). In 2015, he won the Best Male Musician at the maiden edition of the GN Bank Awards (People’s Choice Awards) in Ghana.

Sonie Baidu speaks on His death rumours
Prolific and amiable gospel musician Sonnie Badu has opened up about reasons he went all guns blazing at bloggers and news portals who put out stories about his death.
The multiple award winner indicated that although he is a man of God, he still has his human elements and as such was just being real. He further noted that he had to quickly react to reassure his family that he was still alive and described the publication as extreme.“We are men before we become men of God, he noted… We have the same blood as you do, we eat the same food as you do, and we’re very human. We get extraordinary when the Holy Spirit wants us to go on assignment. A military soldier doesn’t fight every single day so it’s ok for the human side of me to react…” he added
Sonnie Badu was responding to critics describing his post on Instagram as harsh.

He further referred to an incident in the Bible where a prophet, Elisha cursed some children to their deaths after they laughed at his bald head.
Sonnie Badu was speaking on the sidelines of Ghana Praise at the Independence Square which saw performances from Don Moen, Darlene Zschech, Lenny LeBlanc from the USA. Affable musicians from Nigeria namely Nathaniel Bassey and Sinach also performed on the night.
The rest of the arts from Ghana were Joe Mettle, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Josh Laryea among others

I will never record a song with Shatta Wale - Yaa Pono
Rapper Yaa pono has stated that he will never record a song with dancehall act, Shatta Wale.
According to him, he does not see himself joining forces with Shatta Wale to work on track after their
beef that grabbed nationwide attention.
The beef between Yaa Pono and Shatta Wale escalated after the former was denied an opportunity to perform at a concert headlined by Shatta Wale in Cape Coast in the Central region last month.
The organizers of the concert later explained that Yaa Pono was unable to perform because they were running out of time and therefore had to cut down on the performances.
Things got ugly when the two released diss tracks to attack each other.
In an interview with DJ Black on the Open House Party on Joy FM, the “My Case” rapper commenting on his beef with Shatta Wale noted that; “There’s a lot of disrespect in the game that I don’t need to make it right.”
“I need to make mine on my path with my people right and I believe when it sounds good in the ears of the other people, everybody is going to follow because respect is the first thing in this world.”
Explaining his reasons for recording his two diss tracks – ‘Noko’ and ‘Gbee Nabu’ – against Shatta Wale he said; “I recorded this song because, Shatta Wale did a live video calling me his boy and I’m never his boy and I can never be his boy but, I like his songs.
“One thing about Ghana is that development affects music so we have to live according to the people we preach to.”
“It’s not about dividing the fans, it’s about keeping them together so we all preach one thing to them and I am ready for any artiste who will come so we can preach the right thing to the right people.”

Shatta Wale is bigger than Yaa Pono – Keche
As the ‘beef’ between Shatta Wale and Yaa Pono rages on, Joshua of hiplife group Keche has waded into the controversy by stating Shatta Wale is bigger than Yaa Pono.In an interview with Hitz FM’s Dr Pounds on Hitz High Table, the rapper said Shatta Wale was the biggest artiste in Ghana and Yaa Pono was nowhere near him.
“For now, there are no two ways about it, Shatta (Wale) is the biggest artiste. We as a group are behind Shatta and Sarkodie. Yaa Pono hasn’t gotten to the level of Shatta Wale, Sarkodie or Stonebwoy,” he said.
A section of the group’s fans has expressed anger at Keche for recording a song, ‘Flavour’ with Shatta Wale.
Reacting to the anger expressed by their fans, the group urged their fans not to get upset explaining that recording with Shatta Wale did not mean they are choosing Shatta over Yaa Pono.
“I want the fans to know, those who support Pono should support him strongly but they should not think because we have a song with Shatta it means we belong to his camp,” Joshua noted.

Obrafour Speaks on Yaa Pono and shatta wales's beef
Source: enterghana.com
Obrafour headlined the Nkrumah Hall Week Celebrations’ artistes night at the University of Cape Coast and before the event, he granted an interview on ATL Fm.
Speaking on several issues, Obrafour talked about the Ghanaian music industry as a whole and it’s future.
Asked by the presenter what he thinks about the current ‘beef’ between Shatta Wale and Yaa Pono, Obrafour had these words to say:
First of all it was a useless beef and both artistes are not matured.
Explaining why he thinks they are immature, the Nkontompo rapper said, beefing a fellow colleague doesn’t mean throwing insults at the person. He further stated that they could beef in a more responsible way by throwing shots at each other in terms of achievements and other factors but not insults.
He gave an example of the beef between Lord Kenya and himself few years ago. According to Obrafour, their beef was insult-free and that even boosted their fame at the time.
What are your thoughts on what Obrafour had to say about this beef?
